McManus, pastor of Mosaic in Los Angeles, brought us lots of laughter and lots
of depth of thought on his topic, CREATING A GLOBAL MOSAIC
In Acts 6 he noted key
words:
1. Mission. To become
diverse you have to embrace the mission of Christ. The non-evangelistic
church is destined to remain homogenous.
2. Need. They
diversified because there was a need that couldn't be met unless they
diversified.
3. Leadership. They
gave a genuine leadership role to others. To be diversified you need to
recognize other leadership gifts.
4. Edge, risk, pioneer.
Liberate people. Don't create clones.
